Areas of focus include clean energy, environmental policy, education, telecommunications, public health and stemming gun violence. Riley Public Affairs has represented and advanced the interests of leading nonprofits, national public affairs firms, Fortune 500 companies and Illinois based businesses.

Before founding Riley Public Affairs, Jeff Riley worked for the City of Chicago serving as Chief of Staff for 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly and, earlier in his career, for the State of Illinois at the Toll Highway Authority and Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. He also has extensive political experience as a consultant, researcher, Field Director and Political Director for campaigns at the local, state and national levels. Jeff is a Political Science graduate of Southern Illinois University and holds a certificate in Leadership in Sustainability Management from the University of Chicago Graham School. He is also Founder and Board President of Solar Empowered Illinois, whose mission is to provide employment opportunities in solar power to those who need it most.
